Think all things natural. Think whole foods, raw foods, health foods, plant-based, organic, superfoods, gluten-free, eco-friendly…The list goes on! Being a vegan means your diet is power packed full of most if not all of these buzz words!

To be vegan means consuming not only a plant-based diet but some of us will also integrate our beliefs into our lifestyle choices, wearing clothes, shoes, and using cosmetics that are cruelty-free and free of any animal ingredients.

Tutti Frutti Minty Smoothie Bowl

Organic all the way is this vibrant smoothie served in a coconut shell. Packed full of antioxidants, sprinkle a cereal or granola of choice for a complete meal. Sip it as a post workout or scoop it as a healthy delicious breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup mixed frozen berries
  • 1/2 frozen banana chopped
  • 1/2 frozen pear chopped
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 mint leaves
  • 10 almond blanched and soaked
  • 1 tsp maple syrup optional
  • Extra fruit and quinoa puffs for topping

Instructions

  • Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender until smooth. Serve topped with extra fruit and quinoa puffs.

Being vegan, we are mindful at each meal that we are balancing our diets and are aware of the macronutrient ratio that we consume.

This yummy coconut bowl of goodness provides us with the nutritious good fats from the almond nuts and milk, the perfect amount of carbohydrates from the banana and is an excellent protein source thanks again to the almonds plus also from the quinoa puffs sprinkled on top.
